Who is SparkyCert for?
SparkyCert is built for licensed electrical contractors in New South Wales who need to lodge Certificates of Compliance for Electrical Work (CCEWs) with the NSW eCert system.
Do I need a subscription to lodge certificates?
Yes. SparkyCert requires an active subscription to lodge CCEWs. Every new account gets a 7-day free trial with full access — no payment required to start. After the trial, choose the Individual plan ($9.99/month) for sole traders, or the Business plan ($4.99/member/month) for teams.
What is the 7-day free trial?
Every new account gets 7 days of full access at no charge. You will not be billed until the trial ends. Cancel anytime from the App Store or Google Play before the trial expires and you will not be charged.
What is the difference between Individual and Business?
Individual ($9.99/month) is for sole traders lodging their own certificates. Business ($4.99/member/month) is for contractors managing a team — the owner gets a web dashboard, can invite employees, and sees combined certificate history across the whole team.
Why did my submission fail?
Submissions can fail if the eCert API is temporarily unavailable, or if there are validation errors in the certificate data. The app will show the error message returned by eCert. Check your licence number and all required fields, then tap "Try Again". If the problem persists, contact support.
What happens if I lose signal mid-form?
SparkyCert detects when you are offline and saves your work as a draft. When you are back online, the draft is ready to submit from the New Certificate screen.
How do I cancel my subscription?
Subscriptions are managed through the App Store (iPhone) or Google Play (Android). Open your device's subscription settings and cancel SparkyCert. Your access continues until the end of the current billing period.
How do I delete my account?
Go to Profile → Data & Privacy → Delete My Data. This permanently deletes your account, profile, and certificate history. This action cannot be undone.
Is my data secure?
Yes. All data is encrypted in transit (HTTPS) and at rest. Accounts are secured by Clerk. We do not store passwords. Subscription billing is handled entirely by Apple or Google — we never see your card details.
Is SparkyCert available on iPhone?
Yes. SparkyCert is available on both the App Store (iPhone) and Google Play (Android). Download links are on the homepage.
Where does my certificate data go?
CCEW data is transmitted to the NSW eCert system operated by the Building Commission NSW, as required by law. It is also stored in your SparkyCert account history. We never share it with any other third party.
